Twenty-two Explorer Scouts and leaders from the Mercury Unit based in Radstock are celebrating their return from a wonderful summer camp in Austria.

They stayed at an international Scout camp site in Zellhof, a small village ten miles north of Saltzburg.

The range of activities, mostly on site, included windsurfing, canoeing, cycling, and a high rope course.

The young people also spent some time exploring Salzburg.

Explorer Scout Leader Dan Sampson said: “Our summer camp is the highlight of our year, but we enjoy many other fun activities at other times and welcome any young person between 14 and 18.

“My thanks to the other leaders who made the trip possible.”
