Police are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of an 86-year-old man with dementia who has been missing from his home in Somerset since Thursday morning, 21st June.

Kenneth Scotcher was last seen at his Nunney home at 10.30 a.m. on Thursday. He left the house on foot and does not have access to a car.

Officers are carrying out searches of the area and would like to thank the residents of Nunney who have also been out looking for Mr Scotcher.

His niece, Maria Scotcher, said: “We’re very grateful to everyone for helping and looking for Kenneth. We’re all very concerned and want Kenneth home safely.”

Mr Scotcher’s sister, Kath Anderson, added: “We’re all beside ourselves with worry. We just ask everyone to keep looking and to call the police with any information which could help them find Kenneth.”

Kenneth Scotcher is described as white, about 5ft 6ins tall with grey hair. He was wearing beige trousers, a brown jumper and beige slip-on shoes when he was last seen.

Officers ask people to check outbuildings and barns again in case he has sought shelter.
