There is a blockbuster double-bill of cinema at Midsomer Norton Town Hall on Saturday, 22nd April with Moana at 2.30 p.m. followed by Sully at 7.30 p.m.
Moana is Walt Disney’s latest animated family hit, following the adventurous teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana meets the mighty demigod, Maui. Together, they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds, and along the way, Moana fulfils the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she’s always sought: her own identity.
In Sully, Tom Hanks stars as Captain Chesley ‘Sully’ Sullenberger in this critically-acclaimed film based on the ‘Miracle of the Hudson’. Clint Eastwood directs the thrilling portrait of the heroic airline pilot, who became a national hero in 2009, following his incredible successful emergency landing of an Airbus A320 full of passengers on the Hudson River. Miraculously, all the 155 passengers and crew
survived the harrowing ordeal. However, despite the accolades, the famed pilot faced a battle to save his career and reputation after an investigation that threatened to
destroy it all.
