Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist died in a collision on the A36 on Sunday.

The incident happened at about 7 p.m. on Sunday, 20th May at the Norton St Philip junction of the A36 with Tellisford Lane. As the Suzuki GSX 1400 travelled north along the A36, it was involved in a collision with a Renault Captur.

Sadly the rider of the motorbike, a man in his sixties, was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, a woman who was riding pillion, was treated for minor injuries.

A 28-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody.
