Band Manager, Alan McGee, is teaming up with musicians in Midsomer Norton as part of his new campaign against homelessness.

The music mogul launched a new nationwide campaign called Musicians Against Homelessness earlier this year to raise funds for the homeless charity, Crisis.

Local musicians, Cherry Trees, Black Wasp, Guts and Caitlin Elliman, who has appeared on BBC Bristol’s Introducing, will play a Musicians Against Homelessness fundraising concert at Mardons Social Club on Friday, 23rd September from 7.30 p.m.

Alan McGee said: “I am delighted that bands of this calibre want to be part of this campaign. The support in Midsomer Norton has been tremendous and inspiring and it’s fantastic to see these great bands and artists come forward to take part. Although our primary concern is to combat homelessness, it is vital that the MAH gigs also give up-and-coming musicians a chance to play to larger audiences. We are trying to build a new wave of opportunities for young bands.”

Local organiser, Mike Mihalas, said: “We are delighted to have a such a fantastic line-up, and pleased to support this important campaign – all proceeds from the event go to Crisis.”
