Thank you also to Martin Horler, who said: “It would be a poor show if I did not recognise this week’s Mystery Photo as I was born and grew up here – it is Temple Cloud.

“I spent many a happy Friday evening in the building at the bottom of the road, which was the Church Hall, we would watch films for sixpence. Then there was the Youth Club there and dances and Harvest Suppers and the WI Concerts and Plays.

“Where the gentleman is standing is almost outside of The Three Horseshoes where my great-grandfather would perform step-dancing accompanying himself with a piccolo.”
