The distinctive building in last month’s mystery photo still looks very similar today. The Seymour Arms is on the main road through Blagdon. Anyone now standing casually in the road, as those in the photo are, would soon find themselves having to move pretty quickly. This photo came from the collection of the Blagdon History society.

The Harptrees History Society is always interested in old pictures of people, places and events in the Chew Valley and Wrington area. If you have any you would like to share, please email [email protected]

The society is not meeting in December, but there will be two meetings in January.
