Councillors unanimously voted to support plans for the old Charlton’s site in Radstock on Monday evening, which will see six new units built, two of which are currently having
planning permission scrutinised by B&NES for change of use into a gym and the other from retail into a veterinary surgery.
A decision is expected in March. Councillor Bruce Shearn said the site was an ‘eyesore’ and welcomed progress and the new development in the centre of the town.
