North Somerset's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that eight closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

M5, from 8pm June 30 to 4am July 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 exit slip lane closure for sign erection work.

M5, from 8pm July 1 to 6am July 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 including slip roads, lane closure for signs maintenance.

M5, from 9pm July 2 to 6am July 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 19 to junction 20 - lane closure for electrical works.

M5, from 9pm July 3 to 6am July 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 entry slip closure, for improvement/Upgrade scheme, diversion via M5 southbound to junction 22 and return northbound.

M5, from 9pm July 8 to 6am July 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 to junction 19 - lane closure for drainage works.

M5, from 9pm July 9 to 6am July 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 20 exit slip road for drainage works, diversion traffic to continue on M5 southbound to junction 21 and return northbound to junction 20.

M5, from 9pm July 11 to 6am July 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 entry slip road closure for drainage works, diversion via M5 southbound to junction 21 and return.

M5, from 9pm July 14 to 6am July 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 20 entry slip road closure for inspections, diversion via, junction 19 and return.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
