North Somerset's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a wait of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures are due to start this week:

M5, from 9pm August 8 to 6am August 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 21 to 20 lane closure for barrier works.

M5, from 9pm August 9 to 6am August 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 21 to 20 lane closure for barrier works.

M5, from 9pm August 10 to 6am August 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 21 to 20 lane closure for barrier works.

M5, from 9pm August 15 to 6am August 26, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 Both Directions, junction 20 to junction 21 Lane closures for Structural maintenance, diversion for, junction 20 southbound, entry Slip and junction 20 northbound, exit Slip - M5 northbound to junction 19 and return, diversion for, junction 20 southbound, exit Slip - M5 southbound to junction 21 and return.

M5, from 9pm August 18 to 6am August 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 22 to 21 lane closure for barrier works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
