The annual exhibition held in October displayed over one hundred varied and interesting photographs, but visitor numbers were down, due to continuous, heavy rain.

The most popular photograph, as voted by the public, was ‘The Barn Owl’ by Margot Witcombe.

During September, Bill Collett showed a collection of his always interesting work taken throughout the year. Also, Jenny Short organised a different slant on ‘Still Life Photography’. It gave a good, imaginative insight in how to set up and take good pictures.

In October, Tony and and Jenny Byram showed a collection of audio visuals done by a group called Waves, of which they are members. Also, the Western Counties Print

Portfolio was shown, which is always interesting. It gives a good indication of what type of photographs are currently popular and how good other clubs are in the western area. Club member, Jill Toman, often has her pictures shown.

Geoff Noad was indisposed on his AV night, so Suzanne presented them admirably on his behalf.

A well known visitor to the club, Peter Weaver, showed his collection of photographs to us. He is reluctant to use modern methods to improve his shots, but he clearly enjoys his photography.

On October 15th, the Landscape print competition was judged by Pippa Rabbitts.
