Time is Precious have recently finished one refurbishment project and are now looking forward to the events they have planned for the rest of the year.
Neil Halford, co-founder of the Coleford-based charity, said: “We have just completed refurbishing a Paediatric Recovery area, where children go after they have had an operation or procedure, such as certain chemotherapies, Lumbar Puncture etc. It has already had a fantastic impact on those that have used it and it was only completed on Saturday, 24th June!”
Everyone involved at Time is Precious is now gearing up for their next round of projects, with several fun events planned.
Neil said: “We are fundraising for a few various projects at the moment, including refurbishing the garden on the RUH’s Children’s Ward. It will be fantastic; with a slide, swings and a Pirate’s Boat that will be accessible for beds, as well as sensory play panels and a beautiful playhouse, amongst other things.
“In Bristol Children’s Hospital, we are in talks on a project on the Renal and Urology Ward, where children go for Kidney Dialysis. We want to refurbish parts of the ward to make it child-friendly, including the Treatment Room. We do have a few plans for future projects, but need to complete one at a time! So, it’s all very exciting, but hard work ahead for fundraising. We would appreciate anyone who would be willing to support us by helping to raise funds for these and future projects.”
