At Midsomer Norton Methodist Church Centre’s Friday ‘Pop-In’ Coffee Morning, we celebrated twenty years of the organisation, ‘Open the Book’, where teams of Christians go into Primary Schools to present Bible Stories through words and acting.

It was ten years ago that a team started in Midsomer Norton, and have been presenting the stories to the children at Longvernal Primary School ever since. The stories are written by Bob Hartman and follow various themes. The team were dressed in costume and displayed the books and props that are used for the presentations.

The money from the sale of coffee, cakes and the recycled book stall will go to support the ‘Open the Book’ organisation that now works with the Bible Society to bring Bible stories to children.
