Saturday, 11th May saw the annual Big Ride Out being held at Paulton Rovers. Now in its sixth year, the team have raised £3,265 for their two favourite charities, Dorothy House and The EVS Freewheelers Blood Bikes.

On behalf of the charity, two of the organisers, Des and Rich, told The Journal: “This year, we had around 180 bikes turn out, with plenty of support from the many who came to see us on our way.

“Since starting our fundraising events back in 2014, we have raised over £30,000. Our events have included the Big Ride Outs, various other ride outs and the four Motown Nights.

“Working under the name of JMBRO, which stands for Jeff Mountjoy’s Big Ride Out, we hold our events to raise funds in memory of our good friend, Jeff.

“We would like to thank Paulton Rovers FC and all of our sponsors and helpers that make this event possible, but most of all, we would like to thank all of the bikers who turn out to make this day such a success.”
