Following a successful bid to the Big Lottery Fund by Conygre Hall Trust, members of the Timsbury Theatre Group have been busy all summer refurbishing the stage area.

The new and improved rigging for lights, sound and staging will mean an even bigger and better pantomime this year. The Wizard of Oz – The Panto by Leonard H. Caddy, features a flying witch, a hot air balloon and even a house flying in over the audience!

All the well-known and much-loved cast from the popular book and film will be on stage, and it will include a few more traditional and eccentric characters – well, it is Panto! Will Dorothy and her beloved Toto get home? Not if the hapless Dame Aunt Em hampers proceedings too much. And will the Scarecrow, Lion and Tinman all get their heart’s desires? Not if the evil Witch of the West gets to them first! There is very much to cheer and boo at in this year’s show, and it has lots of opportunities for

the audience to really get involved.

Timsbury Theatre Group’s Pantomime is very much part of the traditional build-up to the Christmas Season, and this popular show will be well attended.
