Following last week’s report relating to our recent Macmillan Coffee Morning, we are pleased to announce that we have received a further generous donation from Mark and Jane which now brings the total collected to £512.46 – thanks once again to everyone who supported us.

Our Harvest Festival Service held on 17th September was led by Revd Christine Coram and was well attended. The communion area was tastefully decorated with flowers, vegetables and dried and tinned produce, with the main focus being on British Farmers Week. Members and friends enjoyed refreshments following the service which included strawberry jam sandwiches made from the harvest loaf! All non-perishable goods were later distributed to the local Food Bank and Paulton Village Larder.

Here at Paulton Methodist Church, we would like to invite you to come along to the Winterfield Suite at Paulton Rovers Football Club on Saturday, 14th October to take part in the ‘Paulton Quizzical’ which commences at 7.30 pm. Teams of four people, price will include a sausage and chip supper. There will also be a raffle. All profits raised will be donated to the Somer Valley Food Bank (Paulton) to continue the brilliant work they undertake in helping those in need in our village. It’s a fun evening with prizes for the winners and a wooden spoon for the losers, but it’s taking part that counts!

For further information please contact Lynn and Martin Redwood on: 01761 419989 or via Messenger to register your team.

Morning worship on Sunday 1st October at 10.30 am will be led by Revd Christine Coram and will include Holy Communion.
