Paulton-based photographer, Jacqui Howell, will be displaying her artwork at the Ashmolean Museum, in Oxford, this week.

Jacqui became involved with the museum through the charity, Silver Lining, who provide ongoing support for those affected by brain injuries. She explains: "A member of Silver Lining purchased two of my images at the Fringe Arts market in Bath. We got talking and I told him that I have terminal cancer and find my photography helps me therapeutically. By joining the group, I can help those affected by brain injury learn photography skills on the computer and I can also help by donating some of my art to raise money for the group."

She said: "Photography is my medium of creative

expression. Exploring all aspects of photography and the creative process has been my focus, both personally and professionally. My goals have always been to push myself, to develop and evolve as a creative person by attempting to create works in traditional and digital formats, as well as different execution styles. I search out the colour, texture and emotion of a subject while incorporating my love for architecture and landscape. My passion lies in

combining the two in a single image."

Jacqui, a former student at Norton Radstock College studying a BTEC in photography, will have her work

displayed in Oxford from 18th June. Her main style is mixing graffiti found in Bristol with the buildings in Bath. Her work can viewed on her website: http://www.bathgraffitiart.com">www.bathgraffitiart.com
