There was a very convivial Harvest Supper in the evening of Saturday, 26th September at Peasedown St John Methodist Church where a collection was taken.

The sum of £210 was raised for ‘All WE Can’, a Methodist relief and development fund which serves the world’s most marginalised communities.

On Sunday, 25th September the Church celebrated Harvest Festival with gifts of food and sundries supplied by the congregation to be given to the Food Bank that operates there every Friday between 12 & 2pm. Once upon a time fresh produce would be adorning the Chapel but now in times of high prices and different needs this is a very practical expression of our Christian values, by showing care and concern for our community.

In spite of the increase in energy bills we are determined to carry on offering a warm welcome to all.

To this end we hope to raise some funds to help towards our heating costs by holding a Cake and Jumble Sale at the Church on Saturday, 8th October.
