Residents of Radstock will be on the receiving end of something quite rare this financial year – a 0% increase in precept.

With the introduction of a new Town Clerk, Councillors have scrutinised current spending and have decided that not only can they keep money in current reserves, but that they can also invest in Radstock’s library, which the Town Council took over the running of, alongside volunteers, last year. As well as keeping the precept the same, the library could potentially open one evening a week and a Saturday, with money being invested into the budget to cover these staffing costs.
