The Radstock and District branch of the Labour Party held its Annual General Meeting on 12th January, with Andrew Barnes from Westfield becoming the new Chairman, Helen Adams the new Women’s Officer, Fflyff McLaren the Secretary and Chris Wortley the new Treasurer.

The full slate of new officers represents a good balance of members old and new, and they hope to have a new and improved website soon.

The Branch meets on the second Tuesday of every month at Trinity Methodist Church Hall, Radstock, and welcomes all members to the next meeting on Shrove Tuesday, 13th February, at 7.30 p.m.

Andrew said: “We may even be able to rustle up some pancakes, but what we can guarantee is lively discussions about our local campaigns – including youth service, the library and transport – and national policy.
