Residents who have waste collections on Tuesday, 9th January are being advised about a possible disruption to their service as colleagues in Bath and North East Somerset Council’s waste team pay their respects to Tony Bayliss, a much-respected and long-serving member of their team, who sadly passed away just before Christmas.

Mr Bayliss, aged 59 and from Bath, had worked for the garden waste service for fourteen years.

Councillor Bob Goodman (Conservative Combe Down), Cabinet Member for Development and Neighbourhoods, said: “Tony was a well-respected and long-serving member of staff who is very sadly missed. Colleagues will be paying their respects at his funeral on Tuesday. While we will do our best to keep the service running we want to make residents aware there may be some disruption to their usual refuse and garden waste collections. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
