Evolve Music will be continuing their ‘Sound Lab’ Friday night music sessions for neurodiverse young people at Radstock Youth and online through 2023.

Sound Lab is led by two professional musicians to provide fun social and creative sessions involving improvisation, songwriting, instrumental performance and games for young people aged fourteen plus. Sessions are free to take part in and are held after school hours on a Friday, between 4:30pm and 6pm. For more information, contact Mark via email: [email protected]. You can register your interest via the form on the evolve website - https://evolvemusic.org.uk/.

Evolve Music also host sessions to support dads and their young children. These meetings, called ‘Dad’s Rock’, give space to dads and children aged 0-5 to explore music and sound through songs, stories and games, and provide a safe space for parents to connect and support each other on their parenting journeys.

Sessions are free and take place in Radstock, Bath and Bristol. Dad’s Rock will also be starting up in Frome from February!

If you are part of a music group or ensemble, you can support Evolve Music through their ‘Play it Forward’ scheme. This is a fundraising initiative run by the charity so they can continue to deliver musical programmes for people from disadvantaged backgrounds, or who lack musical or cultural opportunity.

In return for making Evolve Music a charity partner for gigs and performances, they will promote events online through their mailing list, as well as posting on social media and on their website to widen the reach of said performances. More information about the scheme and other ways to support the music charity can be found at https://evolvemusic.org.uk/support-us.
