Food hygiene ratings given to five Bath and North East Somerset establishmentsThe prizes were all donated for the raffle, which were won by some very lucky winners. Helping Laney with the annual raffle were Gail Garlick, Secretary of the Pride in Paulton Partnership, B&NES Councillor, Liz Hardman, and Nicola Simmons with Elaine Dowling from the Centurion Hotel in attendance (pictured above).
The money raised will ensure that not only will the homeless have special Christmas boxes this year, but they will be looked after throughout the rest of the year. Laney said they will be taking sixty Christmas boxes into Bath, which will certainly bring good cheer to those on the street. Not only will the boxes have festive Christmas fare, but they also have essentials, such as shower packs with 20p for a shower, hats, gloves, socks and dog food for canine companions.
Laney said: “I was delighted to host the raffle in the Centurion Hotel, as they always support us. It was also incredibly helpful to have Nicola Simmons organising the raffle with me and Tasha Sobey storing the prizes in her home.”
Laney will be publishing the names of the raffle winners on their Facebook page, so keep an eye on that if you have entered!
There will be no rest for Laney and Mark over the Christmas period, as they will continue their work by visiting Bath with the Christmas boxes. If any readers would like to donate money to Laney and Mark’s homeless work, please email them at: [email protected]
