Saying goodbye to someone close to you can be really difficult. Planting a tree provides a living memorial to a loved one’s life and enhances the environment, helping to bring down damaging levels of carbon dioxide.
It is for all those reasons that a commemorative tree was planted during a small event at the Camerton Community Hall by the Redman family in honor of their Mother and Father, Jean and Peter (Pete).
The Redmans were a well-respected family in the village of Meadgate Camerton, the large family lived in a small cottage at Parkway Lane. Pete was very active in the community and wrote books on the history of the village; Jean was a joy to be with – she was full of fun and always had a new joke to tell. They are both missed by all that knew them.
Their memory will live on in the beautiful Cam Valley; their home and place they loved. If you would like to plant a commemorative tree in Camerton, visit: www.camertoncommunityhall.co.uk. Tap on the menu, then ‘commemorative trees’.
