Residents treated to tea, thanks to Inner Wheel

The winning mix of a free cream tea and entertainment again marked the Midsomer Norton and Radstock Inner Wheel club’s annual Inner Wheel Day in the Somer Centre recently.

And it was a particularly notable occasion for Ada Hyne, from Beechcroft Care Home, celebrating her 91st birthday and who was applauded by all the other senior citizens who had been welcomed by President, Heather Langridge. Sue Hopkins and Ann Taylor organised the afternoon, Ron Hopkins and Jacky Emm led the Bingo and Inner Wheel helpers brought a large array of raffle prizes for their guests.

Claire Hamlen, of Bath Musica, entertained and handed around percussion instruments for her audience to accompany the well known songs she sang and played on the ukulele or violin.
