1st Midsomer Norton Cub Scouts’ C Pack enjoyed seeing flashing blue lights, hearing sirens, wearing police hats, visiting the old Radstock Police Station Courtroom, and having a peek at a cell on Monday evening as part of an annual trip to the local station.
The children also had a go at checking their ‘running speeds’ using speed cameras and completed a multiple question knowledge test! As part of finding out more about organisations that can help them, the Cubs will be visiting Radstock Museum very soon.
Before the police station visit, Cub Scout Cameron was awarded the Chief Scout’s Silver Award, the first to have been issued in three years. Cameron, from Oakhill, gained the award by completing seven major challenge badges, which included Adventure, Outdoor, Skills, World, Teamwork, Team Leader, and a Personal Challenge that he had to complete for three months. He also completed six activity badges! Well done, Cameron.
