Drivers in and around North Somerset will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a wait of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M5, from 10pm June 16 to 6am June 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 to junction 18 lane closures for bridge maintenance.

And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 9pm June 27 to 8.44am June 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to junction 19 - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

M5, from 8pm June 30 to 4am July 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 exit slip lane closure for sign erection work.

M5, from 9pm July 2 to 6am July 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 19 to junction 20 - lane closure for electrical works.

M5, from 9pm July 3 to 6am July 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 entry slip closure, for improvement/Upgrade scheme, diversion via M5 southbound to junction 22 and return northbound.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
