Drivers in and around Bath and North East Somerset will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A36, from 8am February 5 to 5pm March 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Both Directions Bathampton to Beckington 24/7 multi way signals for drainage.

And a further three closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A36, from 8pm February 21 to 6am February 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Both Directions Bathampton to Beckington carriageway closure for drainage, diversion northbound, via A361, A350 and A4, Reverse for southbound.

A36, from 8pm February 21 to 5am February 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Both Directions Limpley Stoke to Claverton four-way signals for electrical work.

A36, from 12.10am February 24 to 4.50am February 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 Bath and A36 Bath to Beckington used by GWR Railway Replacement Buses on Bristol Temple Meads - Frome / Westbury to Chippenham route.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
