Drivers in and around Mendip will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A303, from 6am May 9 to 6am October 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 both directions Podimore lane closures/contraflow for Sparkford to Ilchester improvement scheme.

And a further three closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A36, from 8pm August 14 to 5am August 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 both directions Trowbridge Road roundabout (A361) - lane closure for drainage works.

A36, from 8pm August 14 to 5am August 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 both directions Warminster Road roundabout (A361) - lane closure for drainage works.

A36, from midnight, August 22 to 11.59pm August 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Norton St Philip used as a diversion route for Bristol Water closure of Tellisford Lane.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
