Drivers in and around North Somerset will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M5, from 8pm March 24 to 6am March 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 entry slip road closed for carriageway repairs. Diversion via M5, junction 22 and back.

And a further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 7pm March 25 to 6am March 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 22 to 21 lane closures for resurfacing.

M5, from 10pm March 26 to 6am March 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 to 19 lane closure for drainage.

M5, from 8pm March 27 to 6am March 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 exit slip road closure for resurfacing, diversion via M5 northbound to junction 20 and return.

M5, from 10pm April 3 to 6am April 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 22 to 21 carriageway closure for electrical works, diversion via A38 and A370.

M5, from 8pm April 8 to 6am April 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to 19, lane closure for surveys.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
