Road closures: three for Mendip drivers this week

Drivers in and around Mendip will have three National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures are due to start this week:

• A36, from 9am July 4 to 3pm July 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Chapmanslade traffic lights for signs works.

• A36, from 7pm to 10pm on July 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Chapmanslade traffic lights on behalf of BT.

• A36, from 7pm July 13 to 6am July 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Woolverton traffic lights for surveys (BT).

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
