Drivers in and around North Somerset will have three National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M5, from 1.35pm May 6 to 6am May 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 21 to junction 22 - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

And a further two closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 9pm May 12 to 6am May 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 to junction 20 - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

M5, from 9pm May 19 to 6am May 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 to junction 18 lane closures for bridge maintenance.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
