Children in Year 6 at St John’s Primary School in Midsomer Norton are currently getting involved with the Midsomer Norton High Street Regeneration Programme.
When visited by members of the regeneration team, they had the opportunity to learn more about the history of their local area and get an idea of how the High Street will evolve over the coming years.
This has included learning about ‘place making’, through which there is an emphasis on improving public spaces in Midsomer Norton to enhance community well-being and vibrancy.
The children at St. John’s have been very keen to have their own input on what they would like to see in Midsomer Norton in the future and the regeneration team have really welcomed their ideas.
