Writhlington village hall committee recently held their Christmas party for local senior citizens.

The hall had been beautifully decorated with each guest welcomed with a glass of sherry. The tables looked splendid.

Everyone sat down to a roast turkey dinner with all the trimmings. There was a choice of puddings, which included Christmas pudding. Simon, our wine waiter, was kept busy filling the glasses. Entertainment was provided by Brian, a friend of the hall, and his organ playing was very much appreciated. Roger, another friend of the hall, was our compere and kept the audience amused. Hot drinks and mince pies were served later.

Lots of the guests thanked the committee members for a lovely afternoon.
