Well done to seven-year-old Finlay from Midsomer Norton who, inspired by Captain Sir Tom Moore’s fundraising efforts, set himself a challenge!
Finlay was sad to hear that Captain Sir Tom had passed away and decided he would like to raise funds for Dorothy House, where his Grandma volunteers at the local shop – and for the funds raised to help with the amazing work that the charity do.
He chose to do a sponsored run, running the length of the Greenway from Midsomer Norton to Radstock and back, a total of just over three and a half miles. He trained for six weeks and completed it in the Easter holiday.
His family set up a JustGiving page to fundraise (Fin’s Big Greenway Run) and he set himself a target of £100.
So far, he has raised an amazing £595 thanks to people’s amazing generosity locally. His family are very proud of him – keep up the good work, Finlay!
