Judith Brown, from Farrington Gurney, was not going to take becoming a septuagenarian lying down. Instead, she decided to challenge the stereotype of old age by completing a very demanding gym challenge at Farrington Park Health Club. Together with fitness trainer, Karli, she worked out seven goals – one for each decade – including rowing, kettle bells, bicep curls, crucifix hold, yoga balances, sit-ups and a wall squat. On her birthday, 28th October, she finally completed them successfully.
Gym Manager, Kevin Mortimer, gave his congratulations: “Judith is an inspiration to everybody out there – age is really just a number.
A fantastic effort and well done from everyone at Farrington Park.”
Judith said that she would not have achieved this without the support of the gym team. “Everyone can set their own realistic goals and I know that the friendly staff at Farrington Park would help them – it’s a great way to stay fit.”
