Snowdrop Walks at Camerton Court took place on 17th February to help raise funds for local charity, Peggy Dodd.

The Chemistry of a Snowdrop: The delicate and beautiful little plant contains alkaloid galanthamine, which is used as a treatment for Alzheimer’s disease symptoms and produced from the snowdrop Galanthus woronowii.

Peggy Dodd is a charity that supports those with memory loss and their carers. The day centre is open from 9.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m., and has several resource rooms for activities.

Lunch is available, and the centre has a beautiful, safe garden to walk around or sit in.

The centre is based at Combe Down, Bath. For further information, phone: 01225 835520 or look on the website: www.peggy-dodd-centre.org.uk

The centre runs a Dementia Café on the first Saturday of the month, and is an occasion for carers and the ones they care for to come and meet other people.

The café is open from 10.30 a.m. to 12 noon, it is staffed by Peggy Dodd volunteers.
