Local radio presenter, Tom Bradey, is putting on an event in March 2018, and seeking out bands and groups to help take part.

Tom began working at Somer Valley FM in 2011 as a trainee, and has since helped out with many events and presented various shows.

The show first started in 2013, and was originally titled ‘Tom Talks Soap’, as it focused on television soap operas such as EastEnders and Coronation Street.

Eventually the show re-branded as ‘The Tom Talks Show’, covering a wide range of topics. Recently, Tom interviewed Ben Purkiss, the covering lead in West End show, Bat Out of Hell: The Musical, and has gained more followers as a result.

The show’s current format is talking to local people, and playing great music with the opportunities to interview great people, such as Ben.

As ‘The Tom Talks Show’ is celebrating its fifth year on the airwaves, Tom plans to put on a live show, complete with studio audience, bands performing on air, and local theatre and dance groups to showcase local talent.

Midsomer Norton-based SWALLOW, a group that works with adults and children with learning disabilities, has been chosen as the charity the show is raising funds for.

Tickets and information are expected to be released towards the middle of November.

If you, or someone you know, are in a band and are free in March 2018, please contact Tom at: [email protected] or [email protected]
