A RECENT donation of £900 has been made to the Midsomer Norton–based charity Time is Precious, following a successful Summer Fayre organised by Somer Valley House care home.

Based in Midsomer Norton, the charity is dedicated to improving the hospital experience for children and their families, particularly through enhancing facilities at the Royal United Hospital’s Children’s Ward.

The funds were raised through proceeds from the home’s Summer Fayre, which brought together residents, families, and members of the local community for a day of fun and fundraising.

Emma Curtain, the front of house manager at Somer Valley House, said: “At Somer Valley House, we deeply value community and believe in supporting those who share our commitment to making a positive difference.

“Time is Precious touches countless lives through compassion and practical support, and we look forward to continuing to contribute to their invaluable work in the future.”

Accepting the donation, Nicky Halford expressed her gratitude, and said: “We’re incredibly grateful to everyone at Somer Valley House for the generous donation. Your kindness and community spirit will go such a long way in supporting our local hospitals and making a real difference to patients and staff alike.

“We would like to send a heartfelt thanks to you all for supporting Time Is Precious and to everyone who donated, your kindness goes along way and will make such a huge difference.”
