Households are being advised about the temporary closure of the recycling centre in Midsomer Norton while essential work is carried out.
Bath and North East Somerset Council says the site just off of Radstock Road, Old Welton, Wheelers Hill, will close from Monday, 16th April to Sunday, 29th April.
The site has to close temporarily because of work to the area – where segregated hazardous household waste such as asbestos, batteries, gas cylinders and paints are stored – in order to comply with the latest Health and Safety guidance.
Councillor Bob Goodman (Conservative, Combe Down), Cabinet Member for Development and Neighbourhoods, said: “We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but the work has to be carried out. We have avoided carrying out the work over Easter because we anticipate it will be a busy period. While the Midsomer Norton centre is closed, residents can use our other centres in Bath and Keynsham.”
The Midsomer Norton centre will reopen on Monday, 30th April.
