St Peter's Parish Church: The Christmas season is now well and truly with us.
The Westfield and Radstock lights have been switched on, the Bath Christmas Market is now over, many houses are lit up in celebration and, in our Churches, we eagerly await the day we actually celebrate the birth of he who gives the true meaning to Christmas. It is a great joy to see how many people are still aware of that message and how our Churches fill up for the services at this time of year.
On Sunday, 24th December, our first service for Christmas Eve at St Peter’s is the Crib Service at 14:30pm; a true family service at which all ages are welcome. A very popular service, which often sees full houses at Churches and Cathedrals throughout the land, is the Midnight Communion on Christmas Eve. We are no exception and this year we will be joined at St Peter’s here in Westfield by our benefice colleagues from St Nicholas Church in Radstock.
The Joint Waterside Benefice Midnight Communion will be held at St Peter’s in Westfield at 23:30pm on the 24th December. On Christmas Day, Monday, 25th December, we also have a Joint Benefice Family Communion Service at 10am but this time at St Nicholas in Radstock.
Everyone will receive a warm welcome at our Benefice services. Mike Davies
