The World Heritage City of Bath will play host to The Friends Life Tour of Britain on Friday, 12th September 2014.
The Friends Life Tour of Britain organisers, SweetSpot, are teaming up with Bath and North East Somerset Council to bring you the Start of Stage Six of The Tour.
The Tour cars and police motorcycle riders will leave Royal Avenue at 10 a.m. ahead of the race. More than 40 children from Bath and North East Somerset schools have been nominated to lead out the race.
At 10.15 a.m. 120 professional riders from 20 teams will head out from Royal Avenue on a route which will take in some of Bath's most iconic sites. The race will head east out of the city up Wellsway, along Combe Down, before heading down Brassknocker Hill and into the picturesque Limpley Stoke Valley, skirting Salisbury Plain on its way to the Chilterns and then on to the Stage Six Finish in Hemel Hempstead.
The race will be televised by ITV4 and will be broadcast live across 166 territories worldwide.
