Cinema returns to Midsomer Norton Town Hall on Saturday, 24th September with a fantastic double bill starting with The Jungle Book at 2.30 pm followed by Florence Foster Jenkins at 7.30 p.m.
First up is The Jungle Book, Disney’s latest reimagining of the classic collection of stories by Rudyard Kipling. The film uses visually stunning CGI to create the community of animals surrounding Mowgli, a human boy adopted by a pack of wolves. Iconic characters return in this critically acclaimed production, including the villainous tiger, Shere Khan, the panther, Bagheera and lazy bear, Baloo. The all-star cast including Idris Elba, Ben Kingsley, Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson.
In the evening, Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant star in Florence Foster Jenkins, the highly anticipated British Comedy-Drama. The film tells the story of a New York heiress and music club owner who became notorious for her singing skills, or lack thereof. Despite her awful singing voice, Florence aspires to become an Opera Singer,
