The Community Cinema finally returns to Midsomer Norton Town Hall this month after an enforced eighteen-month hiatus.
The first films screened will be over the weekend of Friday 22nd and Saturday, 23rd October. The first screening will be of David Chase’s crime-drama, The Many Saints of Newark on Friday evening. Then, on the Saturday, there will be showings of PAW Patrol: The Movie at 2.30pm before the Aretha Franklin biopic, Respect at 7.30 pm.
The next screening weekend is planned for the 19th and 20th November, which include two chances to catch the latest James Bond adventure, No Time To Die.
With new releases relatively scarce because of the pandemic, the Community Trust are bringing the cinema back for one weekend a month for the rest of 2021 – with a return to two weekends a month in the new year. The project is run and staffed by volunteers, with all profits made going back into the community.
All screenings at the Town Hall feature cinema-quality HD projection on the big screen, Surround Sound and all your favourite cinema refreshments available from the fully
licensed Sarah Ann Bar.
