After struggling with poor broadband for years, the Radstock Community Hub, home of Radstock Town Council and Radstock Library, has been rescued by community ISP Lit Fibre.

The Community Hub, which often resorted to 4G mobile dongles for internet connection now has ultrafast full-fibre broadband for staff and visitors to use, thanks to Lit Fibre.

As part of its ongoing commitment to invest in the local community, Lit Fibre has installed the ultrafast broadband connection completely free of charge, helping Radstock Town Council run more smoothly, work more efficiently and save money, which can then be reinvested back into the community.

Radstock Town Council Clerk, George Clutten, comments: “Radstock has always suffered with poor internet speeds, and it is so great that Lit Fibre is now in our area. Radstock Town Council, the Community Hub and Library are so pleased and excited that we can now provide a super speedy service for our residents when they visit and to ensure we could continue to work efficiently.

“We’re saving money and it is already making such a difference to our administration and communications. If that wasn’t enough, Lit Fibre has also supported local events and other organisations around the town.”

Lit Fibre has previously sponsored the Radstock Fayre and has plans to continue to support events and organisations in the local area.

The partnership represents Lit Fibre’s ongoing commitment to providing Radstock and surrounding areas with the internet they deserve.

Dan Budd, Lit Fibre’s Community Manager for Radstock and surrounding areas, says: “We were so pleased to be able to finally remove the mobile dongles and connect this incredibly important community team and Town Council to our ultrafast full-fibre broadband. Being able to make their days more efficient and save money is a great start, we’re excited to continue supporting the Radstock community and bring them the internet they deserve.”

Lit Fibre’s full-fibre broadband service is now available in Radstock. Residents can use Lit Fibre’s postcode checker to see if their home is covered by the service and register for further information.
