On 2nd September, between 3 and 4 p.m., all residents and friends of Peasedown St John are invited to join the VillagePeople@Peasedown for the launch of a new village group. This will be held at the Youth Centre (next to the Primary School) and all are welcome to attend.
Visitors will be offered homemade cakes, fresh coffee and other refreshments for which there will be a small charge. Children can enjoy a free fruit smoothie!
After the launch, VillagePeople@Peasedown will open every Tuesday at the same time and all residents are invited to come in and enjoy a friendly social experience, plus consider how the group can be of use to the village. The volunteers running VillagePeople@Peasedown will have information on many relevant issues and will be happy to help find answers to any questions which may arise. If the venture is well supported, ideas will be shared and sessions can be developed to fit the needs of residents, for example, an introduction to computers using the facilities at the Youth Centre. Appropriate agencies within B&NES can also be invited to attend.
This is not a 'Youth Session' as all villagers are welcome, but there will be a Youth Worker on site during the sessions should any young person need support. Don't be shy, just call in when you're passing and see what the VillagePeople@Peasedown can offer you.
