Carol Curtis, a volunteer driver with SWAN Transport, based in Radstock, has organised a charity fashion show hosted by M&Co, in Midsomer Norton, to raise funds for the charity which she drives for.

The event took place in the store on 21st September, and raised just over £450.

Sarah Oughton, SWAN’s Volunteer Transport Co-ordinator, said: “We would like to thank Carol and all those who gave their time to make the event a great success.”

The event would not have been possible without the 22 volunteers from the local area who modelled on the night, showcasing M&Co’s clothes to the delight of the audience.

The children stole the show and were especially endearing, also helping to call out the raffle numbers, and one of the youngest, Leo, concluded the event of his own volition, by thanking everyone for coming.

“Suzie, the M&Co compere, and the store staff made everyone feel very welcome, and even offered tea for those gasping for something other than wine and soft drinks, which was much appreciated.

“The raffle was fantastic, and gifts were donated from a number of Radstock shops and individuals.”

SWAN’s thanks go to Bike-it, JoJo’s hairdressers, The Loft, Hair Razor, McColls, Lovatt and Short, the Susan Hill School of Dance, Jean’s Hairdressers, Rumours Hairdressers and a number of individuals.”
