Children from St Julian’s School in Wellow have taken part in the Voices for Life concert at Bath Abbey.
Voices for Life is a new Bath-based charity enabling primary school aged children to be the best they can be at school by providing them with fun opportunities to express themselves through music, singing and confidence coaching, building their self-esteem and confidence.
The organisation was founded during the pandemic to encourage music and wellbeing in young people.
School Headteacher, Ruth Noall, said: “Well done to all the children in Sycamore Class, years 5 and 6, who took part in the Voices for Life performance of StarLight.
“The children have been learning the songs over the past six months and joined five other schools and a live orchestra in this stunning performance in the Bath Abbey last Thursday and Friday evenings.
“A huge thank you to Miss Williams for the mammoth organisation that this took, ferrying the children to rehearsals and the performances and to all the other adults, in school and parents, for supporting the children in learning the words and perfecting their performance.”
Voices for Life work in collaboration with composer, Jools Scott, and librettist, Sue Curtis, to produce exciting and fun songs and choral works. These are carefully created to help give children a renewed sense of confidence in themselves, as well as experiences that will live with them forever.
