Our talks programme for 2024 began in January with Colin Budge who told us about the problems with, and improvements to, local roads from the 13th to 18th centuries.

There will be more on this next month as this article had to be prepared before the event.

On February 23rd we shall welcome Eugene Byrne who produces the Bristol Times weekly supplement for the Bristol Post.

A renowned local historian, Eugene will be telling us about ‘Unbuilt Bristol’, a saga of the weird and wonderful ideas people came up with years ago to create new buildings and structures which never actually materialised in the city.

We meet at the United Reformed Church adjoining the primary school on the main road though the Village. Meetings start at 7.30pm with doors open from 7pm on the last Friday of each month.

There is free car parking adjoining the Church.
