Chilcompton resident and tour manager Jade Preddy is helping to bring a weekend of self-empowerment events around the South West alongside midlife mindset coach Lou Featherstone, who marks her debut UK tour.

Lou’s mission is to inspire 10,000 women to embrace the lives they truly want, with a trio of events coming to Bristol’s Tobacco Factory from Friday, May 9, until Sunday, May 11, culminating in a walk at Ebbor Gorge.

Jade, who co-owns Orange Juice Events, an events company she launched in 2021 to help more women step onto the stage, is supporting the tour.

Lou Featherstone, also known as LuinLuLand, is a midlife influencer, podcaster and speaker who promotes self-confidence and mindset change during menopause. She gained a following after touring the US in a vintage bus, encouraging women to embrace midlife with confidence and community.

Lou's journey began after relocating from the UK to Portland, Oregon. There, she experienced a period of personal transformation, reconnecting with her identity through community support and self-exploration. This led her to launch the Self Love Revolution Tour across the USA in a vintage 1983 Bluebird Wanderlodge Motorhome named Susie, aiming to inspire women to embrace self-love and personal empowerment.

Friday, May 9 will feature Self Love Unleashed, a one-woman show where Lu takes the audience through the rollercoaster of her life, from growing up as a vicar's daughter, through the promiscuous years, to marriage and motherhood. Part comedy, part tragedy, the performance is designed to be both empowering and inspiring.

On Saturday, May 10 , the event Swap Till You MF Drop will offer a clothes swap like no other. Attendees can embrace sustainable fashion while receiving style tips from Lu, all in a lively setting with cocktails flowing.

The weekend concludes on Sunday, May 11, with the Hike Squad event at Ebbor Gorge. After launching Hike Squads across the USA, Lu is bringing the popular experience to the UK, inviting participants to enjoy a guided walk in the scenic location.

Lou said: "Ever since my wild Self Love Revolution tour across the USA in my old vintage bus, I have dreamt about going on tour in the UK with my mission to empower women to step out of their comfort zone, be braver and seize their power in midlife. I believe in the power of community, which is why I’m hosting three separate events at every stop on my tour, which will make one hell of a self-loving weekend.”

The Tobacco Factory team said: “We are super excited to welcome LuinLuland as her journey has been so inspirational for many. We're looking forward to an evening of delightful madness and laughter.”

Tickets for all events are available through Eventbrite at eventbrite.co.uk. The weekend offers a variety of experiences, from the one-woman show to the clothes swap and hike, catering to those interested in self-love, sustainable fashion, and outdoor activities.
